Mathematics of Autocorrelation
This tutorial will guide you through the detailed derivations of the autocorrelation functions commonly used in Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS). The first section, Autocorrelation of Fluorescence Intensity, will derive the equation used to calculate an autocorrelation function from fluorescence intensity fluctuations. The remaining sections define fitting models used to obtain physical information from the calculated intensity autocorrelation function.
